What is Pregnancy Massage?

Pregnancy Massage, also known as Prenatal Massage,  is a style of massage that has been adapted for women who are in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. This therapy can ease any physical discomfort caused by pregnancy as well as reduce anxiety and depression.

What happens during a treatment?

After a medical and lifestyle consultation, you will remove your top clothing and place a sarong around you for comfort and warmth before sitting down on a comfy pillow leaning forward onto more pillows on the therapy bed. We will use Mother’s Massage Oil and after applying it to the whole of your back, we will start working on your lower back and pelvis where a lot of tension is likely during pregnancy. We will then move up to the top of the back, upper arms and neck and if you’re having a full body treatment, you will then lie face up on the therapy bed and we will work your legs, arms and if you like massage your bump too.

Who is it good for?

Ladies who are in the second and third trimester of pregnancy. We can also teach couples massage techniques that they can use at home.

What does it ‘fuse’ well with?

Pregnancy Massage fuses well with Indian Head Massage which will additionally massage the scalp and face, with Holistic Facial Massage and Reiki.
